The Sinhala & Tamil New Year season is here. While everyone’s on a shopping spree buying gifts for their loved ones, we’ve listed down our favorite Avurudu outfits this season! From beautiful and bold reds to ethnic greens and peachy yellows, we’ve got you styles to shout about!
Avurudu season is all about unity, prosperity and peace among ethnicities. Drape yourself in a beautiful saree. Go for batik styles, bold yellows and greens. Jumper and pine greens are our favorite. Upgrade your casual saree style with boho bangles, a beaded necklace and a pair of simple heels. After all, there’s no better way to do ethnic wear right and fabulous than style yourself in a gorgeous saree.
2. Tunic Tops
Simple. Cozy and comfy! Tunic tops are season’s favorite style! Avurudu season screams for sunshine, flowers in pretty reds and traditional sweets. Mix and match seasonal colours and team up with linen or cotton pants! A simple bracelet and a pair of chunky drop earrings would do wonders this season.
3. Maxi Dresses
Batik styles are back and we are drooling over off the shoulders and cold shoulder dresses. Switch up your looks in a dreamy floral maxi. Cotton and linen fabrics will keep you cool this April while flat sandals are your best companion.
4. Maxi Skirts
Be a trendsetter this season with traditional tribal patterns and East Indian boho designs. Style your maxi skirt with a simple crop top in neutral colours. A classic tote bag and a pair of flats are our best choice. What about yours?
While we love sequin and metal embellished salwars, it’s time to forget them for a while and team up with simple yet fabulous salwar designs. From rose and blush pinks to butterscotch and pineapple yellows, there are so many colours to choose. We love a simple salwar with a pair of boho sandals and so should you?
