Super chillaxing, comfy, breezy and oh so fashionable, maxi dresses are hands down the greatest one piece in the fashion industry. From glam night-outs to funky colours and 9-5 outfits to beach dates, we’ve rounded up our five favourite (and extremely trendy) ways to wear maxi dresses.
1. Sneakers? Yes, Sneakers
Weird? Not at all. Sneakers aren’t only sports wear. They look fabulous with maxi dresses. If you need a bit of sporty-girl vibe, go for a pair of sneakers in neutrals or white. Looking for something girly-girl? Maxi dresses look extremely cute with a pair of sneakers in funky prints. Sneakers are good for those who don’t like to wear high heels, and, girlies, they are comfier than EVER.
Here’s everyone’s and our favourite of all. Prints are unique and catchy. Printed maxies create the perfect girl-next-door look. For beauties at heart, floral maxi dresses are the go-to option while polka dots and striped designs are unique and fashionable. Wear a chunky necklace and gold cuffs for a boho look.
3. Asymmetrical Maxi Dresses
This season, show some skin with asymmetrical maxi dresses. Beautiful, sexy and the standout dress of all, asymmetrical dresses are elegant with a pair of pumps or ankle strap heels. And that is pretty much why this dress is our favourite evening wear outfit. Go for a chunky belt in gold or bright hues for a more all-eyes-on-me look.
4. Layer It Up
Go for a denim jacket if you’re looking for a more casual outfit. Leather jackets are a good option when you need something more chic and sassy. Jackets + maxies make you look taller, thinner and take you back to your sweet sixteens. Layering up never looked this beautiful.
5. Beach Babe
Breezier than ever, maxi dresses are quite beachy, too. Funky colours and lightweight fabrics are your bff at the beach. Team it up with a pair of sandals and a straw hat. Island-hoppin’ made cooler than ever with tropical and Hawaiian prints.
